West Garden

Light and soft, warm hues are the two central themes we sought to balance within a single, harmonious space. The apartment’s layout stands out for its originality and thoughtful functionality. The bedroom is separated from the kitchen-living area by double swing doors; when open, the master block visually and functionally merges with the public zone, creating a sense of openness. At the same time, the children’s rooms and adjacent bathroom are isolated from the main areas by a corridor, allowing a clear functional division between the adult and children’s zones.

In working on the decor and wall treatment, we aimed to preserve a feeling of freshness, contrast, and color purity. The foundation is a pristine white wall surface adorned with elegant plaster moldings, complemented by classic white doors and a high baseboard. This refined backdrop is balanced by glossy panels and walnut veneer furniture in a rich reddish-brown tone. This bold material, with subtle references to the mid-century era, introduces the desired contrast, adding eclecticism and a distinct personal aesthetic to the space.

In addition to the core palette of white, black, and brown, we introduced a vibrant accent color—most prominently in the living room’s centerpiece: a sofa in a deep, saturated red. The kitchen, TV console, and dining table with a stone countertop were all custom-designed by the studio’s architects, as was much of the apartment’s furniture. Around the dining table, a collection of deliberately mismatched chairs adds textural variety and eclectic charm. For ambient decorative lighting, we incorporated vintage pendant lamps from the Soviet era, adding a layer of nostalgic warmth.

Viewing points for artwork and decorative objects were carefully planned from the very beginning of the design process. Artists and pieces were selected during the conceptual stage and placed intentionally during final styling, perfectly complementing and completing the interior’s aesthetic narrative.
