Copper House

In developing this project, our primary goal was to fully unlock the architectural potential of the space, which boasts many advantages: high ceilings and densely arranged panoramic windows—several per room. We focused on opening up the layout to flood the apartment with natural light. The interior has been meticulously designed down to the smallest detail, yet retains an element of spontaneity and lightness, as if each piece found its place organically.

The color palette was carefully orchestrated to create a gradient of energy: the most saturated, vibrant, and contrasting area is centered in the living room, gradually softening in tone as the space transitions toward the bedrooms. The client strongly desired a colorful interior, and the seating area embodies this through a bold juxtaposition of complementary hues. A red-mustard sofa anchors the zone, paired with a turquoise carpet custom-designed by our studio specifically for this project.

The carpet features a complex shape, textured relief, and a sophisticated color composition. It is complemented by a burgundy armchair, adding depth to the dynamic palette. Nearby stands a chair with a fir tree–like pattern and a marble stand veined with burgundy tones. The entire composition culminates in a large round mirror by Christophe Gaigon in a vivid electric-blue hue, adding a striking contemporary accent.

The bedroom embraces a more restrained color scheme, softened further by unique custom-designed pieces from Rhyme: a signature rug, a console table, and a stone stand. The room features a key structural decision—the elimination of a separate walk-in closet to preserve both windows. Instead, storage units were placed along the wall containing the doorway to the bathroom, maintaining brightness and visual continuity.

Quartzite, chosen as the primary material for the kitchen, belongs to a premium category requiring exceptional care—it is nearly impossible to re-polish or restore once damaged. Nevertheless, using quartzite in this compact space proved to be the pivotal aesthetic choice. It lends the kitchen impeccable visual presence, depth, and a distinctly luxurious character, becoming the defining focal point of the entire area.
